"Volume Four Billion" is The Nourishment's EP from the year 2000. As would be expected, it's very futuristic and can be heard playing in hover-cars and atomic houses all around the planet.

Live improvisational electronic music trio New Big Black Mr. Super-Soul Bad Sugar Man's low-tech antics are quite unlike anything we've heard previously. Their combination of antiquated drum machines and toy instruments make for a surprisingly catchy, strangly-dancable musical collage. It's strange, and it's fun!

Digital Abacus was a "proto-Nourishment" of sorts. Mr. Polland and Mr. Tepperman, admirers of each others' works, collaborated by sending a tape back and forth through the mail. They recorded an entire album together before meeting in person. This release comprises the first "Digital Abacus" EP, as well as the previously-unreleased second Digital Abacus project, which was mysteriously abandoned when The Nourishment was formed.

Armageddon! Paranormalacy! Love! Insanity! Food! All these themes and more figure into Archbishop Jason Polland's first solo release, "Apocalypse Lemon," from 1996. A little rough around the edges, yes, but I have it on very good authority that it can be genuinely frightening if you play this in the car while driving around at night. It should be noted that Mr. Shawn Sagady was a guest collaborator on "Short-Circuit Holocaust".

The Nourishment's "Take Care Of Junior," from 1999, is a collection of popular favorites from the solo albums of Archbishop Jason Polland and GST Mugwump, plus eight new songs. A great starting-point for those curious about all these albums!

Sustenance, Expulsion, Propagation, Expiration. Is there anything more to life? The Nourishment explored these themes deeply on their full-length album from 2001. Download and listen, and sixty minutes later you may find yourself wondering if a record can literally go insane. Featuring Jason Polland and Joe Tepperman, as well as Aaron Cohen (drums), David Cline (violin, guitar), and Andrew Durkin (keyboards), who comprised the full band at the time. Enjoy!

Mental Rental's absurdist rock-opera "Mooseheads From The World Beyond" was left forever unfinished in 1998. The story concerns the classic struggle of forbidden love between a man and a blender, whose two fathers, rivaling baboon-trainers, would seek to keep them apart. Meanwhile, a mad scientist plots to take over the world by summoning the alter-dimensional Mooseheads to help him secure an economic stronghold on the world's dog-shampoo industry. His lab assistant, however, falls in...
